What is a DC Solenoid Latch ?
A solenoid latch is equipped with a permanent magnet inside the housing that keeps the plunger in position magnetically when under no other force. With the internal permanent magnet maintaining attachment, only consuming power to reinstate attraction. The other push and pull linear movement is the same of the other DC power Solenoid.
The solenoid latches are divided into two types: single latching solenoid and double latching solenoid. It is easy to understand that the single latching solenoid only holds (self-locks) the iron core at one position at the end of the stroke. The double latching solenoid adopts a double coil structure, which can hold (self-lock) the iron core at two different positions at the beginning and the end, and the two positions have the same output torque.
