AS 0946 Frame Type Solneoid DC 12V Long stroke Distance For Smart Door Lock System

Working Principle of Smart Door Lock

The smart door lock consists of two parts: the solenoid valve and the lock body. The solenoid valve generates a strong electromagnetic force when the current passing through the solenoid coil, pushing the iron core ( plunger ) to move linearly, and pushing the lock tongue to the door frame to achieve the extension and retraction control of the smart lock . When the power is off, the magnetic force on the solenoid valve disappears, and the lock tongue will return to its original working position by the force of spring.

Due to different designs, electromagnetic door locks are also divided into two types, normally open and normally closed style.

The normally open electromagnetic lock, also known as the power-off unlocking electromagnetic lock, opens when the solenoid valve is powered on. When the solenoid valve is out of power, the lock body is closed.

The normally closed electromagnetic lock, also known as the power-off locking electromagnetic lock, closes when the solenoid valve is powered on. When the solenoid valve is out of power, the lock body is opened.

Both types can be implemented in practical applications and can be set according to actual needs.

  • Working voltage: it usually works on DC12V or 24V DC, low power consumption design (current about 200-500mA).
  • Action time: extremely fast response speed (<50ms), suitable for instant unlocking needs.

 Design

The three-level conversion of electrical energy → magnetic energy → mechanical energy depends on the coordinated optimization of coil turns, current intensity and core material (such as soft magnetic alloy).

Fully sealed structure design, dustproof and waterproof design.

    2. Enhanced security

·Automatic locking (Fail-Safe mode) or unlocking (Fail-Secure mode) when power is off is optional.

·Anti-violent destruction: generally requires more than 500N external force to force opening.

    3. Intelligent compatibility

·Support PWM voltage regulation control, adapt to multiple communication protocols (such as Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).

·Integrated Hall sensor, real-time feedback of the lock tongue status to the main control chip.

4 . Functions of the intelligent lock

    1. Core control function

Access control linkage: Collaborate with fingerprint/password/face recognition module to achieve multi-modal identity authentication.

Remote control: Remotely authorize temporary password or force lock through APP.

    2. Security enhancement function

Anti-tailing alarm: Detect abnormal stay through the door magnetic sensor to trigger the alarm.

Violent unlocking protection: Start the fuse mechanism and push the alarm information when the current suddenly increases.

    3. Energy management

Dynamic power consumption adjustment: Standby current <5μA, support CR2032 button battery life for 12 months.

Emergency power supply: Type-C interface emergency charging, guarantee basic functions for 72 hours after power failure.

     Application

    1. Civil field

High-end apartment: Link smart home system (such as automatic arming when leaving home).

Short-term rental management: Dynamic password allocation and usage record tracing.

    2. Commercial scenarios

·Hotel digitalization: docking with PMS system to realize unmanned check-in.

·Financial institutions: dual electromagnetic lock redundant design, the vault requires double authentication to unlock.

    3. Special environment

·Hospital isolation area: non-contact unlocking reduces the risk of cross infection.

·Data center: electromagnetic shielding type lock body prevents electromagnetic pulse attack.

Common problems: The following are common problems and solutions for smart locks for your reference:

    1. Battery problem

Phenomenon: unable to unlock, low battery prompt, screen off

    Solution:

    1. Replace the battery (alkaline batteries are recommended to avoid mixing new and old batteries).

    2. Use emergency power supply (some models support USB charging for temporary power supply).

    3. Check the battery status regularly (it is recommended to replace it every 6-12 months).

    2. Fingerprint recognition failure

Phenomenon: fingerprint cannot be recognized, locked after multiple attempts

    Solution:

2.1. Clean your fingers and fingerprint sensor (wipe with a dry cloth to avoid water).

2.2. Re-enter the fingerprint (it is recommended to enter multiple fingers for backup).

2.3 Check if your fingers are dry or peeling. Try to moisten them with your breath.

2.4 If you fail multiple times, use the password or mechanical key to unlock and then reset the fingerprint.

    3. Wrong password or forgotten password

Phenomenon: Too many wrong passwords lead to lock

    Solution:

3.1. Wait for 3-5 minutes to unlock automatically (some models need to be reset manually).

3.2. Use the backup password or fingerprint to unlock.

3.3. If you forget all passwords, reset them through the management password or mobile phone APP (need to bind in advance).

3.4. Restore factory settings (be careful, all data will be cleared).

    4. Mechanical key cannot unlock

Phenomenon: The key is difficult to turn or cannot be opened after insertion

    Solution:

4.1. Check if the key matches (some models distinguish between the main key and the emergency key).

4.2. Lubricate the keyhole (use pencil lead powder or professional lubricant).

4.3. If the lock core is severely rusted, contact after-sales to replace the lock core.

    5. Connection problem (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth)

Phenomenon: The mobile phone APP cannot connect to the smart lock

    Solution:

5.1. Check whether the network signal is stable and restart the router.

5.2. Make sure the distance between the smart lock and the mobile phone is within 10 meters.

5.3. Reset the network connection (some models need to be re-paired in the lock body settings).

5.4. Update the APP version or restart the phone.

    6. Automatic anti-lock or false alarm triggering

Phenomenon: The door is not closed tightly and the alarm is automatically triggered, or the alarm button is accidentally touched

    Solution:

6.1. Check whether the door body is deformed or the door frame is loose, and adjust the door body position.

6.2. Turn off the alarm function (through the management password or APP settings).

6.3. Check whether the sensor is blocked, clean and recalibrate.

    7. System failure or freeze

Phenomenon: The screen is unresponsive and the buttons are malfunctioning

    Solution:

7.1. Try to restart the device (press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to force restart).

7.2. Restore factory settings (need to be operated through a specific key combination, see the manual for details).

7.3. Contact after-sales customer service for remote guidance or on-site repair.

    Precautions:

    1. Regular maintenance: clean the lock body, check the tightness of the screws, and test the spare keys.

    2. Avoid violent operation: do not hit the panel with hard objects or forcibly move the handle.

    3. Backup information: record the management password, bind the mobile phone APP, and save the emergency key.

    4. Moisture-proof and dust-proof: It is recommended to install a moisture-proof box in humid areas in the south to prevent rainwater from seeping in.
