  •       steel plates to ensure the overall structural strength of the electromagnet.
  • 1.5 Electric wire: it is used to connect an external power supply, input current to the solenoid coil, and enable the electromagnet to work normally.

  • Part 2 : Working Principle
  • Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, when current passes through the solenoid coil of the suction cup electromagnet, a magnetic field is generated around the solenoid coil, which magnetizes the iron core, and the magnetized iron core further enhances the magnetic field strength. At this time, if a magnetic workpiece approaches the panel of the suction cup electromagnet, the workpiece will be tightly sucked under the action of the magnetic field force. When the current of the coil is cut off, the magnetic field disappears quickly, the magnetism of the iron core also disappears, the workpiece loses suction and separates from the suction cup, thus achieving demagnetization.

    Part 2 : Lifting Electromagnet Application

    2.1:  In the field of lifting and handling, it is used to lift and carry magnetic materials such as steel plates and iron ingots. For example, in steel mills and ports, it can effectively absorb and move heavier metal objects to improve work efficiency.

     2.2 : In machine tool processing, by adsorbing the workpiece, the stability of the workpiece during the processing can be guaranteed, which is convenient for precise processing. For example, it can be used on processing equipment such as grinders and milling machines to fix small metal processing parts.

     2.3: On the automated assembly line, it can be used to adsorb and sort parts of ferromagnetic materials, realize automated material transportation and parts classification, and make the production process more efficient and orderly.

    2.4: In the field of electromagnetic clamps, it is a key component of the clamp, providing reliable clamping force for metal cutting, grinding and other processing operations to ensure processing accuracy.

    Part 3: Common problems of suction cup electromagnets

    3.1 : Insufficient suction

    -Cause: The power supply voltage may be too low, resulting in a smaller current passing through the coil and a weaker magnetic field; it may also be that there is oil or impurities on the surface of the electromagnet, which affects the contact with the adsorbed object and reduces the suction. In addition, partial damage to the coil, such as a short circuit between turns, which reduces the number of coil turns and reduces the magnetic field strength, can also cause insufficient suction.

    - Solution: Check the power supply voltage and restore it to normal; clean the surface of the electromagnet to ensure that the adsorption surface is clean; check the coil and repair or replace the damaged part.

    3.2 over heating

    - Cause: Continuous working time is too long or the working environment temperature is too high, which will cause the electromagnet to dissipate heat in time; it may also be that the resistance of the coil is too large. According to Joule's law, too much heat is generated when the current passes through.

    - Solution: Arrange working time reasonably, avoid long-term uninterrupted use, and improve the ventilation conditions of the working environment; if it is a coil resistance problem, it is necessary to check whether the coil material and specifications meet the requirements, and replace the appropriate coil if necessary.

    3.3 Incomplete demagnetization

    - Cause: The reverse current used to eliminate residual magnetism in the circuit is set unreasonably, such as too small current or too short time; or the residual magnetism of the core material is strong, resulting in incomplete demagnetization.

    - Solution: Adjust the parameters of the demagnetization circuit, such as increasing the reverse current or extending the demagnetization time; replace the core material with smaller residual magnetism.

    Part 4 : Caution of Using this Electromagnets

    1. The relative object absorbed must be a good magnetic material
    2. The suction surface of the electromagnet must be smooth and clean.
    3. The thickness of the object is 5 mm at best.
    4. The contact surface of the object must be larger than the adsorption surface of the electromagnet
