Product detail diagram

A pull type tubular solenoid is a compact linear actuator that transforms electrical power into mechanical pulling motion. The supply of the DC voltage to the actuator coil creates the electromagnetic field inside the tubular housing. The magnetic field attracts the plunger of the solenoid toward the magnetic center of the coil, generating a pulling force.
The tubular housing design ensures the good mechanical strength, magnetic performance, and flexibility of mounting options while retaining the compactness of the actuator. There are pull type tubular solenoids of various sizes, strokes, voltages, force levels, and duty cycles to suit industrial needs.
They are usually integrated into the industrial automation equipment, machine control systems, locking mechanisms, valves, dispensing equipment, automotive systems, and other electromechanical devices. In some cases, solenoids can be customized in regard to housing, plunger, spring, mounting plate, connector, lead wires, and electrical characteristics.
Their
simplicity of design, fast response, reliability, and relatively low
maintenance make pull type tubular solenoids a convenient solution for
automated linear actuation.
How Does a Pull Type Tubular Solenoid Work?
The principle of operation is very simple:
Application of the power
When the control system supplies the current to the coil of the solenoid, the electromagnetic field appears.
Generation of the magnetic field
The magnetic field attracts the ferromagnetic plunger to the magnetic center of the coil.
Creation of the pulling motion
The linear movement of the plunger creates the required pulling force.
Actuation of the mechanical load
The plunger can pull the linkage, latch, valve mechanism, lever, or any other mechanical part of the machine.
Removal of the power
In case of need, there are designs which are returned to their initial state using the return spring, mechanical mechanism, gravity, or other actuator.
If the
application requires pulling and pushing motion, the pull-type design can be
integrated into the mechanical mechanism or replaced with the push-pull
solenoid.
